The circus is coming to town, and it's setting up at center field at Citi Field, the home of the Mets! Circus Vazquez will call the diamond home for a few days, and if you scroll down to the "Buy Tickets" button, you'll be able to find seats inside their tent for this upcoming Saturday, November 22nd show. If you grew up going to the circus, this experience is going to ensure a ton of memories flow back to you from the moment that you set foot inside the tent.
It's also a great opportunity to have the younger ones in the family experience a form of entertainment that's almost extinct. You'll have a chance to see death-defying motorcycle acts, some of the best trapeze artists in the world, and a few clowns causing chaos all over Citi Field. If you grew up in Mexico over the last 60 years, or you visited one of the cities in the interior, you probably saw a large Circo Hermanos Vazquez tent at some point during your stay! The company provided entertainment for generations of Mexicans who had in the circus one of their only forms of leisure, particularly in the poorest cities in the country. Once Mexico banned the use of animals at these events, the company fell on hard times. That's when the sons of the original Vazquez brothers decided to make the jump across the border with a brand-new show focused on electrifying acts and comedy bits, staying away from the use of animals. The Mets are giving the circus a chance to set up in centerfield, so you can decide just how good the show has gotten!
Parents in this age are usually looking for forms of entertainment that can get their kids' eyes off screens. This is certainly one of the best options out there. One of the easiest ways to sell this show to children is to let them know that you're going out to the ballpark, you get a chance to actually access the field, and people inside the tent are going to be doing all sorts of stunts!
